“Give my love to the sunrise.” What a great line. It wasn't a man that she wanted. It wasn't even money that she wanted, though she may have thought she did. What she really wanted was for the pain of life to end, for a pretty sunrise to paint a "happy ever after" for her. She didn't have the strength to fight the badness, like Michael implied. "The only way to stay out of trouble is to grow old." I love how those two lines play off of each other.

This is one of my favorite movies. I was just driving and put the sound on my blue tooth. By only listening, I am noticing more details in the story, and especially noticing the incredibly poetic and artistic flow, pacing, and contrasts within the dialogue.

I love this movie so much; it was my favorite during my childhood. Breakfast at tiffany's was also a classic. Thank you, Mrs. Celina, I couldn't have known this movie without you. Wish we could see you again, my mom and family still miss you though. Love from Nigeria.

Rita Hayworth is simply STUNNING...& Orson had her made up & dressed to showcase her beauty...inuding long legs that had the talent to keep up with Fred Astire....❤❤❤

Rita Hayworth’s beauty is eternal and transcends time and space! Random chance or natural selection could never create such a lovely creature. Only with divine intervention could an angel like her descend from heaven to walk amongst mere mortal men like us!

1:23:00 -- RE: "one who follows his nature keeps his original nature in the end."; Jeez, this is a tight script, and Orson did a bang up job producing it, but Dang, Rita was a good choice for the femme fatale. I especially like the beginning because while it avoids "in medias res" it does so by foreshadowing and how.

There's no 'luck of the Irish' for Michael O'Hara when he enters a web of intrigue and murder. Rita Hayworth is radiant in the title role.

Bravo to the players and crew, as well.
Terrific upload.

Long time Orson Welles fan. He's my favorite Edward Rochester, fwiw: might've seen "Jane Eyre" ten times - including early, dreadfully abbreviated B/W American TV versions. (But, in the early 50s, an almost boyish Charlton Heston was surprisingly good, if too handsome and young for the role.)

What a terrific movie, with all the twists and turns. I wonder if the Hall of Mirrors climax started the trend.
