It's my favourite note taking app (having used it almost every day for 3 years) and in this video I want to walk you through my entire Notability study space, show you how I use it and introduce the new Gallery feature which I'm extremely excited about! 🎨

Been supporting the channel for over a year now but I don’t think I agree with this video. Notability really did its existing users dirty with the yearly subscription. Pretty much a no-brainer to switch to Goodnotes 5 unless you have the budget to keep Notability.

To all the people who value their money: Do not subscribe to this app, this was a paid app and the developer out of nowhere switched to a subscription model and now wants people who already paid for the app once to keep paying them again and again. This is quite unethical on their part and it’s safe to say as people who don’t wanna regret losing their money, we should stay away from all this developer’s apps.

Your tiny asterisk in the corner says that the free version has most paid version features. They literally have a chart that shows out of the 7 features we currently use, only 3 will be carried over unless you subscribe. That asterisk is a lie.

I hate that you released this video today. Notability used to be a good app, but now after today's announcement it makes it harder to justify, it's going to a subscription model and the "free version" is only allowing limited editing for documents.

Followed your videos and progress for a long time. Personally I‘m super disappointed that you decided to promote an app that pretty much scammed it‘s userbase.
People that already bought the software are now forced to pay a subscribtion after one year without getting additional features. So you have to pay more money for the same app you already paid for.

I update it without knowing n was like damnn… i got into annual subscription version😫 n regret for updating this. If you’re ok with previous features as a minimalist, hope you do not update it.

I...don't really know how to feel about this video. I've been a constant big fan of this channel ever since end of 2020 when I discovered it, and always massively enjoyed every single video put out. Now I found out that Notability has switched to a subscription-based app, when I've been a paid user since late 2020, and that Nasir is pushing it due to a sponsorship, when it's not only not beneficial to existing users, it is also quite cheap seeing that I didn't think that he would stoop down to this level and pull his audience along like this. First of all, I'm not saying that it's 100% his fault and that this video shouldn't exist. Whatever cheap gimmicks come from Notability, and not this channel. I just want to say I'm quite disappointed, although not very surprised seeing as a sponsorship is very desirable, no matter the creator. I just thought that maybe this wouldn't be the channel that I see such blatant support, with no consideration for the existing Notability users from, guess I'm wrong. Like what some viewers said, really didn't expect this from you :(

As of the new update to Notability (version 11.0), the developer has stated those who purchased the app before it was free will only have the functionality they paid for, for the next year, and will then be downgraded to the free version. This is against App Store guidelines section 3.1.2(a) which states that an app switching to a subscription model cannot remove features for those who have previously purchased the app.
