One of my favorite parts of Theology! Thank you Dr. Cooper for such clear and articulate explanations!

Wonder if you can comment on DA Carson's take on John 1:4-5 in his Pillar commentary? Many evangelical bible scholars seems to suggest that the logos who came to give light to every man in the text has nothing to do with the logos giving reason and logic to every men.

Jordan, I may be wrong, but I think your reference to the Presbyterian Reformed Church on hypercalvinism should be Protestant Reformed Church. Pastor James Pitts, EPC

Could you, pls, explore more this topic, dear brother Jordan? I wonder if we can say that Jesus is the elementar logical principle of the universe, as He is the "Logos". And if this is it, what conclusions can we draw from it, in order to present Jesus as the ultimate truth? What are the implications for us concerning this truth?

so Jesus isn't the biological son of God, but he's just like other prophets? because God calls every prophet son?

John 1:1
1. This ambiguous verse is worthless when you have direct verses telling you who The Only True Gid is (the Father), and many verses telling you that Jesus PBUH is only a servant and a messanger of that God.
2. when you read John 1:1-3 closely you will find nothing about a Trinity, but a complete Unitarian picture of God.
The passage makes it clear that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and the word WAS God. Notice the verses do not say in the beginning was the word, and the word was the SON of God, and the Word was with God the Father. It says none of these things, but simply uses the term GOD.
Therefore since the passages simply use the word God, not Son, nor Father, this then means God is a complete unity and not a Trinity.
