Matante Roxanne dit, le putain de capuchon a sauter car il ont fabriquer le capaciteur avec un bout de filtre à cigarette chinesium 😂😂

Dont you love when a $100 product dies because they spent $0.01 on a crappy electrolytic capaciter instead of $0.02 on a good one.

So many videos recently. The bourbon drought is hitting AvE hard.

We have been blessed with 4 videos in the last week! I love this timeline!

Such strange synchronicity that the most obvious clue to the "Mystery of the Cold Towel-Warmer" looks like a tiny little rolled-up towel.

The deer claw is ridiculous and horrific. I love it!

Damn it feels good to be right. Also love that you made this just to let us know.

Love how Bambi's mom is becoming the unofficial co host!

AvE,
You're my go to down time if I'm not reading.Even when you're jacking around with Dew Claw I always learn something. Sometimes more. Love you guys, sorry for your loss.

My dad demonstrated polarity of electrolytic capacitors when I was 10 yrs old by reversing polarity on purpose. Pop! And the lid flew off like you demonstrated. Somehow when the lid flew off that tiny capacitor and across the garage, he ended up with a bruised fingernail down to the quick. Core memory achieved.

AvE, I'm sorry. Some how along the way I lost you. Randomly, this morning, memories of your videos just came ripping through. Last videos that can be sprung from the murky depths of my think box would have to be you taking apart the all those brand new impact drivers. 😂 I think anyways.
Man, is it good to be back!
Glad you're still uploading. You're one of a kind.

Thanks for this AvE.
I always though Cunningham's Law was "go ask Fonzie".

Deer claw is a poor man's replacement for the Dew Claw...

Very common fault in capacitor dropper power supplies. The current is limited by the capacitor before the "full bridge rectifier " the output voltage is limited by the zener. If the zener diode dies, the voltage will rise until the next component tries to draw the current and hold the voltage at that level. This is what the capacitor tried to do. The voltage rise increased above what the capacitor could take and it started to breakdown and take all the current, getting very hot in the process until internal pressure blew the case off.
If the cap goes open circuit then the voltage again try to rise to the rectified mains voltage killing the rest of any components that cannot tolerate the increased voltage levels.

Thank you Ave, I was loosing sleep over this capacitor

Been here since we was pups touching the back edge of the stone flinger blade.
Thank you, It means a lot to have you around.
We're older and arguably a bit wiser.
Nevertheless my picks stuck in this vice.
We appreciate you more than you'll ever know.

Something that looks like a cigarette butt has no place on a circuit board. Electronics 101.

Loving the regular content! you should upload more, we will watch you do most anything!

Señor Diode? Haven't we gone through enough of that?

As one of the great philosophers of our age once wrote..."There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
