In Matthew 8:1-41, Jesus healed a man with a skin disease who came to him and said, “Lord, you can heal me if you will.” Jesus touched the man and said, “I will. Be healed!” And immediately the man was healed. Jesus told him not to tell anyone, but to show himself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded.
In Matthew 8:5-131, Jesus healed a soldier’s servant who was paralyzed and in pain. The soldier came to Jesus and said, “Lord, I am not worthy for you to come into my house. You only need to command it, and my servant will be healed.” Jesus was amazed by the soldier’s faith and said, “Go home. Your servant will be healed just as you believed he would.” And his servant was healed that same hour.
In Matthew 9:20-221, Jesus healed a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years. She touched the edge of his cloak and thought, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her and said, “Be encouraged, daughter. Your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that moment on.
In Matthew 9:27-311, Jesus healed two blind men who followed him and shouted, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” Jesus asked them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” They said, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, you will be healed.” And they were able to see. Jesus told them not to tell anyone, but they spread the news about him everywhere.
In Matthew 15:21-281, Jesus healed a Canaanite woman’s daughter who was suffering from a demon. The woman begged Jesus to help her, but he said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” She knelt before him and said, “Lord, help me!” He said, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” She said, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” Jesus praised her faith and said, “Woman, you have great faith! What you want will be done for you.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.
These are just some of the many stories of Jesus healing the sick with faith in the Bible. They show that Jesus had compassion for those who suffered and that he had power over disease and demons. They also show that faith is an important factor in receiving healing from God. However, faith is not a guarantee of healing in every case.
