Woodturning-Mini Disc Sander for Your Lathe

Показать описание
Turn your wood lathe into a mini disc sander quick, easy and cheap using this headstock Jacobs chuck. Most of us are familiar with a drill chuck that fits in our tailstocks using the morse taper, although they can fit in your spindles MT I would advise against it because the only thing holding it in would be friction. This one however is threaded and won't come off unless you throw your lathe into reverse. Use it to spin sanding and buffing mandrels or anything else you can think of.

I have the tenon that I cut off from a project years ago. I drilled a hole in the center and then cut a kerf from the edge to the center hole. I put a sanding mandrill into the hole then clamp the whole thing into a chuck. Easypeasy and nearly free. Your Jacob’s chuck rig will be handy for all sorts of things.
