In this video I describe how to fix the blinking (or flashing) orange light error on the Instax Mini 11. The fix is simple, you just need to change the batteries.
The Instax Mini 11 camera is the same camera as the Instax Mini 40, so all these tips apply also to Instax Mini 40.

So glad this worked. I left my camera alone for a few months and it had this issue, although mine was flashing on start up. I checked the batteries in another device but they didn’t want to work, so I’m not sure why my camera takes issue with these ones specifically.

I switched like 20 different batteries including Duracell, no luck. Everyone online suggests to just change the batteries and use the alkaline ones, which doesn't help 😔Anyone else?

UPD: Fixed it! Got Duracell "Optimum 30x extra life" batteries. Not the usual ones - those won't work. Lost all my hope and didn't expect much but the better batteries help

May you live a blessed life! A lifesaver! My mini however are just brat that only accept Duracell batteries. Tried the energizer, eveready, 2 dollar store battery. Finally today bought the duracell ones and it worked
