Body found in search for missing teen Jay Slater

A body has been discovered in the search for missing Jay Slater in Tenerife.

On Monday (July 15), exactly four weeks since the teenager disappeared, Spanish police said human remains had been found in the Masca area. The Civil Guard said 'everything is pointing to the body being that' of Jay.

They believe he 'may have suffered an accident or fall in the area'. The body has not yet been formally identified.

The nasty comments are disgusting, everyone makes mistakes in their youth some bigger than others, but you live and learn if you’re lucky enough to but Jay didn’t get that chance, his family will be devastated and then get all these vile comments about their son, brother etc, clearly the people writing these comments have a lot to learn as well as they lack compassion and respect for others.

Such a tragic shame for any young man to loose his life, no doubt we will eventually find out how it happened. Meanwhile it doesn't help to speculate. His relatives may well be following these pages.

As a dad and grampa my heart aches for his family. He was just a young kid that wanted to go and have some fun like we all did as kids and poor choices were made. Fortunately, most times poor choices can be chalked up to a stupid move, a learning experience and then things can move on. and then at other times situations like this happen. That’s why it’s important for people to think very hard before doing something. when alcohol and drugs are a factor common sense gets thrown right out the window.

That area is super mountainous. Easy to fall and become extremely injured.

Be interesting to see if he still had the stolen rolex on him. If not it could be that the two guys he went to the air b and b with who he stole it from May have found him, as its a bit strange how they left the island straight after he went missing.
