RECORDED ON FEBRUARY 17th 2024.
Dr. Jade d’Alpoim Guedes is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Washington, in Seattle. Dr. Guedes is an environmental archaeologist and ethnobiologist who employs an interdisciplinary research program to understand how humans adapted their foraging practices and agricultural strategies to new environments and have developed resilience in the face of climatic and social change.

In this episode, we focus on foraging, agriculture, crop dispersal, and climate change. We start by talking about foraging and farming in the Tibetan plateau, the transition from foraging to farming as a gradual process, why and how people settle down, and the advantages and disadvantages of moving to agriculture. We discuss the study of the geographical dispersal of crops through genetic analysis, how climate change impacted foraging societies in East Asia, the spread of agriculture across the globe, and how humans enhanced biodiversity in specific places. We also talk about the relationship between grain crops, non-grain crops, and the development of states; and millets, rice, and social complexity in China. Finally, we discuss how we can apply this knowledge to alleviating global hunger and enhancing food security, and climate change and its (future) impact on the global food system.

You explained all this so clearly you ought to write a layman's book on this. Absolutely fabulous interview.❤

This is important too: “Your Brain: Who's in Control? | Full Documentary | NOVA | PBS
NOVA PBS Official”, 15:00 what I wrote about how self concept generates both consciousness type one and personal identity is correct too, the results of split brain surgery makes it clearer, but it works as a process that can adapt based on what’s available in the brain to use to accomplish that process.

40:00 : “Your Brain: Who's in Control? | Full Documentary | NOVA | PBS
NOVA PBS Official”, they are very simple mentally, the delay is normal (the process of generating both consciousness type one and personal identity relies on the brain and body as whole), the decisions took based on previous experiences, emotions, mental activities, .. etc and the will is required to take decisions (they can’t differentiate between self concept and personal identity or consciousness type one and type two from other hand), they mix things up because of the lack understanding of what’s going on, by the way, the content of that video was made based on something!

Trauma, environment in general can reshape your personal identity (the effect of environment depends on who you are, do you realise yourself as rational intelligent human entity or not, …. etc), all of that reshape personal identity in addition to previous psychological traits that acquired fro parents could transfer to the children, but rational intelligent human entities can rebuild their own personal identities based on their own thoughts, emotions, experiences, …. etc, that’s not easy but strong rational intelligent human entities can rebuild their own rational intelligent human personal identities (clean, wise, humane personal identity).

31:00 : “Your Brain: Who's in Control? | Full Documentary | NOVA | PBS
NOVA PBS Official”, when self concept generates both consciousness type one and personal identity it relies on the body, part of the personal identity of the parents transferred to their children unknowingly, it’s the same process that takes place when humans who got transplanted hearts from human Donors (they acquired a specific traits of the personal identity of the Donor (this must reach future generations of mankind clean and intact too).

This is highly important and must reach future generations of mankind clean and intact 26:00 : “Your Brain: Who's in Control? | Full Documentary | NOVA | PBS
NOVA PBS Official”, the Limbic system works as processing unit of memory, emotions, …etc, it’s similar to something in the middle between self concept and personal identity (it’s the weak point), what can generate consciousness type one and personal identity without the need for Limbic system can mange all the functions of the Limbic system without the need to it. the source of emotions is the brainstem (Self concept) not the Limbic system (Limbic system works as processing unit “similar to translator but this is not accurate”), that could take up to few thousands of years of continuous scientific hard work by real rational intelligent human entities (not thieves and fraudulent), that will take time to comprehend but that must reach future generations of mankind clean and intact (essential for mankind survival).

mothers are breast-feeding - not people. I realize mothers are people but some people aren't mothers.
