Storm Bert: 'Multi-hazard weather event' causes chaos across UK and Ireland

At least 34,000 properties are without power in Ireland, as Storm Bert brings a "multi-hazard event" of snow, rain and wind to the UK.

Several weather warnings are in place with some bringing a "potential risk to life and property", while 13 flood warnings and 67 flood alerts have been issued in England and Scotland.

Severe weather. I remember when we had twenty foot snow drifts. We used to get a huge snowfall every decade. This, tgis is a flurry of snow. There's only inches on the ground and they are making out it's the second ice age.
