I like hearing your perspective and do think you have a point. Quite a few people tend to go for less than what they actually want in life, because they think they don’t deserve or they’re not able to do it. Being greedy isnt always bad. Just like narcissism a healthy dose of greediness could be called ambition. It would be greedy to upend one's entire life for the benefit of chasing what they want. Simply because being greedy is saying, "Im going to get what i want, and i dont give a damm about what you or anyone else thinks about me in the manner of my approach to obtain what i want."

Not limiting yourself IS good. However, for anyone to have more than the average person, that means someone else will not have enough. I believe only a collectivist mindset will bring happiness and meaning to me, because I want everyone to have better than the average person has now.
I have recognized opportunities to get ahead, by being unethical. I know that’s not what you’re saying is good, but those are pretty much the only big opportunities I had. I didn’t take them, because they might make me money, but they wouldn’t make me feel better. To feel good, I also have to feel good about myself. I do appreciate your message about not setting the bar low. That’s excellent advice, for anyone. I am not “virtue signaling.” I’m aware that my virtue, or lack thereof, doesn’t matter much to anyone but me. There was one time I recall, when I did accept an unscrupulous opportunity. I know I was 9, so I don’t beat myself up over it, but I did try it and that’s how I know that doesn’t work for me. Too much remorse and regret!

I don't think it's bad to be a little greedy and go for what you want but if it's going to hurt other people then it's bad, there's plenty of ways to get what you want without being toxic and harmful
