April 3, 2023, marked 50 years since the world’s first cellphone call was made in New York. Martin Cooper was the engineer with US telecommunications company Motorola who made the call in 1973. While recalling the moment that revolutionised global communications, Cooper said he expects phones of the future might one day evolve to be “distributed on your body at some point”, though he admitted he still has concerns about privacy and addiction to mobile devices.

I don't know if this can happen, but this person should be awarded Nobel Peace Prize, coz his invention has literally changed the lives of Billions of people. A fitting for the Nobel initiative.
Thank you Mr.Martin Cooper.

Dear Martin Cooper, Happy Golden Jubilee.

To every man, woman and child that owns a mobile phone/smartphone in this world, I ask that we all please give this man a standing ovation because he had to walk for the likes of Steve Jobs to fly.

As that one guy said, to be the first one to do something and be alive when it is done many times now.

Wow, seeing his optimism about the future gave me hope too. I sincerely hope more people realise that smartphones should not be the only source of communication, information, fun etc you have in your day. I consider myself lucky for being old enough to remember these bulky cellphones and remembering how different our life was. Maybe not so easy and certainly less 'instantly gratifying', but we weren't expecting a machine to do everything for us either.
