These are great reminders.
My mom used to get judged for being a stay at home Mom and having nice things. People acted like she was “spending all of my Dad’s money” as if they weren’t a team. Her comeback was always “Do I owe you money? No? Then it’s none of your business.” One time she actually said that to a guy that owed THEM money! He backpedaled fast!🙊

I love when a friend comes at me about a designer bag. I tell them it’s cheaper than going on a fancy vacation, or it’s cheaper than your daily Starbucks drink(365x6.00=2190.00). I don’t travel, get my nails done, buy fancy clothes or drink fancy coffee. We all choose to spend money on different things, handbags are my thing🤷‍♀️😁

Life IS short …. Sadly too short !! It took a cancer diagnosis for me to fully grasp this. That’s when I purchased my first LV. I was blessed and became cancer free, only to be diagnosed with a second unrelated cancer. Once again - I’m cancer free. I no longer save the expensive candles or perfume for special occasions… EVERYDAY is a special occasion. I know have 6 or so luxury bags and happily carry them to Walmart to grocery shop. 😊. It’s all about balance 💗 👜

This is very relatable! My husbands hobby is cars. He likes to build them which is very expensive and ppl are very supportive of that. I just started getting into luxury this year and I’ve had a handful of ppl telling me I’m wasting my money or I’m showing off. It’s so hurtful because it’s my hobby, I love it and I love sharing it. Why is it ok for my husband to have an expensive hobby but not me? 🥺

OMG, I had to cut a couple of people off because they couldn’t understand my love for luxury. I actually had a so called friend ask me.” For the kind of money that you spend on a bag, do you keep that much in the purse?” My reply was “no that would be stupid it’s safer to keep this kind of money in the bank.” In the end it’s jealousy. And you’re right Amber whatever you’re THING is that’s what you do. This is what I do.

Yep, that's what my husband and I always say. Work hard, and play harder. I have coworkers who asked me why I needed to buy expensive bags. Well, I told them it's my money and I buy whatever I want for as long as I can afford them. Lol 😄.

I used to feel pressured from judgement of others about having luxury goods especially purses and SLGs. Until one day one of my pastors said to me, why hide the blessings God gives you? Then it clicked. Why do I have to hide? Why can’t I enjoy what I love even if someone else doesn’t understand.

It’s funny when I see comments like, you should feed the hungry, you should donate it to the needy and such. I donate and I give on a regular basis. I don’t need to explain myself how I spend my hard earned money. No one else pays my bills. I get to have the choice to decide how I spend it. For those who judges, until you pay my bills and give me money to spend then you don’t have a say in how I spend it.

If luxury items trigger you then don’t watch videos that trigger you. Do watch videos about things you love. Why waste your time consuming things you dislike and hate and spend the rest of the day judging and being triggered? If that’s what you do then don’t complain that you are triggered because you are doing that to yourself. Stop complaining and triggering yourself. Actually go have an enjoyable and a nice day and mind your own business.

Well said, everybody has their thing even if it’s stopping to get coffee, fast food, etc daily. I’m cutting out a lot of daily spending to save for my first luxury bag. A few dollars a day really adds up. I didn’t realize I could save this much money in a short amount of time.

I love this video. I’m so happy I’m not the only one that feels this way. Whenever I go to talk to my friends about luxury I have to start out with “okay so please don’t judge me” and than go on with my story. I’m by no means rich, I’ve worked hard for my purchases -saving tips from jobs, putting money aside, etc. Very happy with my few luxury items but definitely have taken heat from them - it’s reassuring I’m not alone! I do worry a little bit about family and friends judging me or thinking I'm snooty because I buy luxury goods but my husband supports me and is okay with it, I'm happy when I get to use my luxury bags so that's what matters at the end of the day.

I wear my bags all the time M-F everywhere, to the mall, to the grocery store, to Walmart, to work basically everywhere I don’t care what people said behind my back people just jealous because maybe they can’t afford one and they just judge but I don’t care.

Everyone has their thing - my dad has spent thousands - on his fishing gear, his boat etc etc- thats excessive and not necessary…my husband has bought a motorcycle etc etc - all things that are frivolous - so yes we all have our things 😉!

Amber, My first luxury handbag was a birthday gift from my daughter when I turned 50. I couldn't afford one, and she knew this, and that's why she bought it for me. That was 4 years ago, and now if I want a lux item, I go the pre love route. I guess I don't want people to think I have more that I actually do, but like you said, they're probably going to judge or talk about you no matter what.

I’m a very casual person who just so happens to love luxury items. I’ll wear a top from F21 and AE shorts. But my sandals will be YSL and an LV bag. I almost died from internal bleeding, and it changed me when it comes to buying what I love. I say f it, and get what brings you happiness.
