Kaela, thank you again for another wonderful "walk" in the Bible. I am thoroughly enjoying these sessions. I too have read that Christ is not the last name of Jesus and struggle with hearing him addressed that way. I re-phrase it and say "Jesus the Christ" and that sits better with me now.

In the Bible dictionary I have Christian is a Greek word Christianos originally applied to the slaves belonging to a great household. It came to denote the adherents of an individual or party. A Christian is an adherent of Christ. The word is used three times in the NT (Acts 11:26; 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16 CSB). Agrippa responded to Paul's witness, "Are you going to persuade me to become a Christian so easily?" (Acts 26:28 CSB).
