This is so true when learning languages. Many worry about how to study effectively but doing it a lot even in the least effective way works better.

Look at this way: if you're doing something, you're actually thinking and working out some idea. Even if it's not great, it's more than thinking about doing something. Quantity is another way of emphasizing taking action. Quality is just stalling.

I have thought of three approaches:

Quantity over Quality
- for learning, practicing and improving skills
- deadlines might be good for this one
- this compromises quality for a while

Quality over Quantity
- using all the skills you got to create masterpieces
- masterpieces takes time to make, deadline might steal the needed time away
- this compromises learning for a while

Quality over Quantity 2
- learn, improve and practice while also creating masterpieces
- hard in the begging
- takes a lot of time and critical thinking
- it gets easier over time to create more masterpieces because you're being shaped to the difficulty

You don't have to stick to one approach forever. This is an everytime choice. Do you want to improve your skills? or make a masterpiece with all the skills you got?

2:46 In my opinion, this is where it's gets a bit of biased. It sounds like we're attaching quality to negative things such as "perfectionism", "high expectations" or "failure mindset", and these negative things doesn't result to high quality, it results to low quality and quantity.
