The thing is when parent hang on to things like this it’s not the art itself. It’s the little hands that gave it to us that we are holding on to. These little hands no longer exist so we hold on to what they gave us as a time piece that allows us to go back to the day its was presented to us. What we remember is the look in their eyes . Their little chubby hands, the embrace we had afterwards. It’s not the art itself it’s what memories are attached to that art.
