Why do we hear 100 blasts of the shofar on Rosh Hashanah? What should we be thinking about during shofar blowing? What are the main themes of the shofar?

Hello there, thank you for the lesson. It clarified alot. I tried very hard to locate the torah verse that states we have to sound the shofar 3 times. Would you mind giving me the scripture reference for that? I thank you in advance.

Hi: Good Day to you. I am a saxophone player (soprano and sopranino) investigating eastern European sounds from (about) the Year 4000. I understand that I have Jewish family but I have no way to know for sure. Question: Is there some kind prohibition for people who are not Jewish to play the Shofar? How about different rules for women musicians in the Reformed movement? from St. Thomas VI .. G_d🙏😄

100 Also represents "holy flock" ... time to remove what is corrupt, repent, and leave Babylon like your (poss.. ours) forefather Abraham, our "Heavenly Father" is waiting ! Shana Tova, and God Bless ! Let the Torah and books of the prophets be your guide on rooting out what needs to be removed

According to Num.10:8-10, Josh.6:4-6. This Commandment was assigned to the Levitical Priests only and it was a" law/Commandment throughout their generations ". So when the temple was destroyed, the Levitical Priests has no place in the temple and their assignment of blowing the shofars was also no more. Anyone who attempts to take that assignment would be like Korah wanting also the Priesthood. (Nu.16:9-10). The SILENCE is a sign and a reminder that the Temple stands no more.

I am a mere fetus in my understanding of Yahweh. Is not repetition the forskin of the heart. Is He as forgetful as I when my sons ask over and over even 3.3 times am I not less likely to give them their desire than if they ask right the first time with a kind heart. As a Father I would be more likely to give them more.

Thank you so much for this teaching I have heard of the 100 blasts but never understood why thank you for sharing your wisdom.
