You’re not in investment banking if you’re making 2-3 lacs monthly after 5 years. You’re in back office operations of an investment bank. If you’re a true investment banker, you’re pulling in atleast 3X that amount.

The best way to get into investment banking is to do Mba from top B school of the country.
Then upgrade and do CFA or Frm. Constantly keep learning. You will get there

for context investment bankers travel a lot to international countries and they are continuously in talks with foreign individuals when a person's exposure is so exterior, the basic things like accent and soft skills change over time ....

all people commenting negative things you guys can't even match his salary.... Their paycheck includes firm payment CTC, project bonuses, client bonuses, and income from personal consulting/trading with business class travel and 5-star stays

now imagine the monthly income considering the above stats assuming his CTC converted to monthly income in 2- 3 lakhs .... other all will be to its addition
