Our economy hasn't been healthy since the 80s. Come to think of it we had some serious inflation through a lot of the 70s which was annoying.

It would make a huge difference difference if we changed the way we fund and run out elections. Maybe we should start with elections being publicly funded with no donor money over $2, 500 allowed from anyone. There needs to be a cap on lobbyist funding or any lobbying money over $200 allowed from any person, corporation industry or bank permitted. Money is power in our current system so power needs to be limited to what we are all able to afford either individually or acting as a group.

The problem is the pay rate, not a lack of jobs. If a business can't afford to pay they can't afford to own a business. Another important thing Is to get tax the wealthy like we used to
