February Channel Update Video | Kirby Allison Hanger Project

We’re off to another exciting month here at Kirby Allison Hanger Project! The freelance videographer who has worked on all of our London projects has just joined our team full-time here in Dallas, so look forward to even better content in the months to come!

This month, we continue our Shoe Review Series with a review of Allen Edmond’s Strand Dress Shoe, more reviews of their full lineup of colors, as well as a video on Gaziano & Girling’s "ST JAMES II" IN VINTAGE CHERRY CALF. Many of you know that Joe Hemerjoni from MyTailor is one of my primary shirtmakers and a dear friend. Not only does he make all of my Cooper Collar dress shirts, a personal favorite of mine to wear without a tie, but he also made this Fox & Brothers grey flannel suit I am wearing today. Joe makes an exceptional suit at a great value, and this month we will begin releasing some videos of two suits he is currently making for me.

Any shoe fanatic that spends any time on Instagram knows Carl Chu from Ascot Shoes, a prolific Instagrammer and the UK agent for Vass Shoes. We had an opportunity to sit down with him during our last trip to London to learn about Vass Shoes.

Last month we released a video with Jim McFarland, the third-generation cobbler in charge of our Kirby Allison Shoe Restoration Program, talking about when to use brass toe plates on dress shoes. We also reviewed the Allen Edmonds Coffee Finish and compared it to other similar colors in their range.

I have been following all of the videos about shinning shoes and I must say it teaches me so so much about how I can take care of my favorite Magnanni shoes. Kirby....can you possibly in the future, do a video on fine writing instruments that a gentleman should consider....I know in todays age most writing is done on computer, phone etc...but some of us still love the feel of a fine fountain pen, or outstanding ball point pen etc on high quality stationary for that personal touch...Tnanks for your efforts

Hi - can you do a video on how to care for top-grain leather shoes? I like them but they scuff very easily. They are somewhat soft-textured, not smooth like regular shoes. They would not appear to me to be polishable. Because of that I do not usually buy them as they get toe and side scuffed and little can be done. I happen though to have a pair I really like and would love to keep them looking top notch with consistent color and surface. I see a lot of us wearing them so I think it would be valuable to get your thoughts. Thanks as always.
