The Tajima GS Lock Strong Tape that I’ve been using for awhile has really impressed me a lot! I was really excited to see the new additions to the GS lineup, hopefully they will be available on amazon very soon and I will add links to those, in the meantime I did link the tape I have been using for several months now for you.

Josef, I have to agree about Tajima products in general. I have tapes and chalk lines from them also ink line ( which I have not used for a long time, haven’t had a need). Have a great weekend from Dallas 🤠🇫🇮

I remember my first Tajima tape over 20 years ago. Been a fan ever since. I’ve always bought the G model. Super stoked for this in-depth look into the GS models and the clips as I was a little bit unsure about the details. And as a carpenter I like a durable 16’ for most work.

My 25' Fatmax got resized to 21" yesterday after a run in with my portable bandsaw😂 I will have a look at Tajima for a replacement

I've become quite fond of tajima and Japanese tools the last year

I bought a 16’ Tajima tape + belt clip, so far very impressed ! 16 ‘ is about all I ever need . I also carry a Klein Tick tester, with a built in LDM, I’d like to see the tape with 168’ of standout !

Just got the same GS Lock you’re using and I love it. I would like to get that metal clip so it’s easier to clip on my tool vest. Love the white tape

Havent checked yet but I would love to have one that doesn't have metric on it. The clip system is neat, kind of like the toughbuilt belt clips

this was the video that got me to buy a tajima tape. man its so nice to stick it on a piece of strut, pull the hook out and stick it to somewhere else. also cool points for being able to appendix carry it so i feel like a power ranger

Thank you for the review. Very nice review! Where are they made in?

Just ordered a TAJIMA GS-SC16/5MBW. Based on your review. Trying to fill out a Veto TP-LC with quality all made in Japan tools for industrial automation troubleshooting.

I don’t like any of the metal tape clips on the TP series Veto bags because Ive lost 3 Milwaukee tapes off them so far.

I tried to find the metal belt clip you showed but I couldn’t find one. So I ordered the Tajima SF-CHLD belt clip instead.

Im hoping it will fit around the tape clip strap on the TP-LC and my Petzl full body harness belt.

Just about everything Tajima makes is excellent, especially their chalklines.

I just got my 16/5 tape and the all metal belt clip, the metal clip has saw teeth to grip web belts, like safety belts so it won't allow a normal leather belt to slip through, the solution was to grind down the teeth and lip of the clip and it now works on my belt. This is my favorite tape now.

I'll have to get a Tajima now. I guess the FastCap is no longer on automatic reorder for you anymore?

Looks similar to the tool pouch clip from Toughbuilt, quite a neat little idea really. If only I could get used to using the clip to store the tape and not leaving them lying around everywhere! 🤣

I don't have any tapes by Tajima, they look good though. I do have a sickness with tapes though where I buy them when I don't need them. Never bought one on line though I tend to just buy them local. I'm partial to the 16's also.

Nice review. Tajima isn't a brand I've ever hear of until I started searching YouTube tape measure reviews and came across your review but I do like and appreciate Japanese quality tools in general (have some Tone and Ko-Ken hand tools that are fantastic!). Are they all really made in Japan or was it just the one model you mentioned? "Country of Origin" or "Made in ..." is not always listed or mentioned in Amazon listings or listings for sale on other sites, and trying to look on the back of packaging for made in wherever is usually not possible on-line. As difficult as it seems these days, I would rather not be buying anything made in the peoples Republic of China, although I don't mind things made in Taiwan. Made in USA, Canada, Japan or Western Europe, even Mexico are what I look for so if one (or all) of these tape measures are made in Japan, they just went to the top of my short list of tape choices.
