Whenever I hear an RJ call, it’s as if I’m taken right back to when I was a little girl and would get to stay up past bedtime and watch every game with my dad (I still do). It sounds so cheesy but as a lifelong Sabres fan who’s now in her early 20s, there was and is something so comforting and nostalgic about hearing RJ call the game. To all of us buffalo kids, he was the voice of our beloved Sabres, the voice of our beautiful city, and his legendary calls were the play by play of every street hockey and mini sticks game to ever exist. There’s only one thing that our Sabs can do now, and that is win it all for RJ. We know they can💙💛
