Paige Bueckers, Jana El Alfy & Sarah Strong share their thoughts on UConn's season-opening win | SNY

UConn star Paige Bueckers says it's been a point of emphasis in practice "to come together and play as a team." Freshman Jana El Alfy had never played in front of such a large crowd before so getting adjusted to things on a grander scale has been a "different experience." Fellow newcomer Sarah Strong reminded herself to "be aggressive and play with confidence."

Jana El Alfy did more in this game than DeBerry did in her UCONN career IMHO. I was at the XL, which was around 50-60 % capacity. Sarah is the real deal! Go Paige, Go Huskies!!!

Jana will be a perfect in her position when she hit those put back shots. She must use her height as she is the tallest when they encounter big teams in these season. I hope she'll be like ODO.

Sarah is a great great player with her height, ability to pass, aggressiveness ya'll when Paige, Azzi out Uconn still in good hands.

Paige shots here is not on point, she lose her rythym after slowing down the game. But almost under 15mins playing, w/ 13 points, 7 Assist, 5 Steals, 1 Blk. definitely a great game.

Luckily, Uconn has deep bench now, Paige will not need to push her limit and can just enjoy her last playing year. But, we know Paige she can shoot buckets if needed, she can save the day every time she wants. But hell yeah just play safe plssss she doesn't need to break records, she can do it in WNBA. Play safe, have a healthy season so I can watch WNBA next year.
