I've owned this spy camera for awhile and decided why not make a video about it since there might be other people interested in how it works and if its worth buying.

I’m planning to buy one to set it up on my 3D printer, it’s perfect since it’s small and flexible enough, since I usually leave for work with while i’m still printing. This way, together with the smart plug, If I ever see one of my prints failing I could turn my the printer off remotely to not waste any filament.

These spy cameras have limited usability due to their limited configurability but mostly due to their buggy firmware and phone app. I have used three different models that look very similar to each other and the one in the video. All had unsupported firmware, so don't expect ongoing updates that resolve all the software bugs. The iMiniCam and HDMiniCam software are very similar to each other and have had software updates in the past, but still contain several annoying bugs. One of the greatest limitations is the inability of the app to be able to connect (as it used to be able to) from the Internet to WiFi network. No instructions or advice are provided on how to do this in the app (it used to happen invisibly through UDP tunnelling I believe) but you can set up port forwarding on your router to access the IP camera from a browser. Sadly, however, you will struggle to get the phone app connected to your home network from the Internet as there is no app ability to change the camera's access port from port 80. It would, therefore, leave your home network rather vulnerable to hacker attacks with port 80 left open.

Hello, I would like to know if the resolution on the camera is so good that it can be read through the camera... I would need it for plonking the exam...

I live in Japan. I have a model called SILLEYE V88. I haven't used the camera for a few years and deleted the associated app. Does anyone know if there is another app I can use to connect the camera to my iPhone?

I can't get mine to work. My phone connects to its wifi but when I get to the app and try to connect it, it says time out . I've tried everything. From restarting to a different phone same result

How did you set up the push notification to send you the footage when in motion detection mode?.. and does the motion detection mode only switch on the camera when motion or detected?
