Removed a weary pecan tree from my land, and one branch was over 100 years old. Used its rings to show the youngsters a time line of this land, its droughts and floods and fruitful growth. We calculated age of the tree to over 250 years. Imagine the stories that 1300 year old tree could tell!

My dad through the years has started a collection of movies used to be all on VHS then switched to DVD/BlueRay. I can go all day listing all his movie sets but one set is the entire Godzilla collection. From the very first ones to the up most recent. Rather it’s in English or not he’s got it. I don’t know what his obsession with the big guy is but it makes him happy just to sit down and doze off watching each one of the movies even the subtitles and all and he’s just at his happiest. He’s not a drinker he doesn’t do drugs he doesn’t cheat or gamble so my mom takes this as a win😉

Unfortunately some types of trees have different life Spans plus are subject to diseases which might require them to be cut / removed early in their Span.
What is truly horrific is that ancient forests are being destroyed in Brazil - Now... also a death sentence of the last remain lndigenous Tribes... Plus Burma, Indonesia etc
