I'm gonna have to play this again soon! My friend and I got it on a whim and I remember having very similar thoughts on it. In excited to one day try the Adkham Horror board games

My only complain too is its too short. Luckily they have this game on tabletop simulator with all expansions

I hate this game. 😂. The story in the core box was... Ok. But the battle system with the token pull was a real turn of. Also the Card areas that you travel from one to another was also meh. It's a huge box for 200+ cards. Just put a small board. Or cards that make out a board (tiny epic series etc.)
