I am in my final stages of Neurofeedback, I recently reached a plateau of progress. I choose to take it for my ADHD and my sleep problems. Now after spending $2, 500, and over 60 hours of my life I came to a conclusion, though I have not completed neurofeedback I am in the final stage of "locking in" my progress. But after spending all that time and money I came to one conclusion... It was a great way to stop my often frequent headaches, as for my sleep problems they have not improved, my ADHD has remained the same, my actual stress levels have very much worsened; I am unsure if it is from neurofeedback itself or because I am very frustrated with all the money and time I have spent on such a ridiculous solution to my problems. In all honesty neurofeedback is the really really really expensive version of just staying hydrated or even taking an advil once and awhile. To me it was a frustrating waste, and I don't know who is reading this or if it even helped but don't let who ever is trying to get you to do it to get some extra money in their pockets get away with it, thats exactly what I did. All in all save your money, save your time, and save your sanity; because hell who wants to sit at a computer and watch a screen for thirty minutes a session and struggle to stay awake. Best of luck with your decision.
PS: I personally say save your money.

I just completed by 12th session for the treatment of chronic low grade depression. So far I've not noticed much improvement, but am committed to going through at least 20 sessions. After many years of medication and counseling I am hoping neurofeedback will help alleviate if not completely eradicate my depression.

This technology diagnosed a parasitic infection in me that no western medicine doctor could figure out. For a concerning amount of time, I dealt with the symptoms. In one setting I with a homeopathic doctor, and this machine...I had an authentic diagnosis, proper treatment, and a cure. Praise God for the Laws of Nature!

Good video. Well explained basic information and free of new age pseudoscience. I used it to explain biofeedback to my support worker.

Watch your thoughts, Watch your feelings, be aware of your reactions.
Don't judge your thoughts, feelings, reactions, just watch them.
Meditation is the key, you may find this challenging at first but with practic you can be in meditation 24/7 and do everyday activities on autopilot in the sate of joy.

Have you tried working out? I has really worked for me, respecting that same issue, no anxiety, no depression after that.. And growing personally as a person also makes me feel always better, learning new stuff. Nothing that no one knows, but who knows, maybe it will help you, i dont know!

I have received 2 biofeedback sessions to relieve my stress. Both times I experienced “a color show.”
No drugs were used)
It was like I was inside a transparent bubble with colors floating over the surface . It was exciting, but I could still pickup the inquiries being asked.
Example: I perceived they wanted sexual information, I did feel it was appropriate so I refused to give back information, I was later asked if I had negative thoughts about sex?
No!
Just don’t like to give out personal info, if it’s not relevant.
Do you get a lot of responses like this?
What does it relate to?

Not exactly, I have to engage the little trigger at the base of my spine which feels to be affected by my degree of lucidity at the time as well as control of my breathing, which also seems to be quite a chore if you are groggy for any reason.Sometimes ( i'm just just now learning this one) i can move the heat or pulse or whatever you call it up my spine and faintly to the center of my skull. You can reset the Dysrhythmia more easily once you gain better control of it's( the pulse's) placement.

I found this quite interesting and will be using it towards one of my presentations

Do you consciously/deliberately reset your heartbeat when you feel the onset of an attack, and if so, how do you do it, and how did you learn to do it?

I hope MindMedia are able to make a decent 4 channel system that is more affordable than their current systems. Consider, their 2-channel EEG unit is around 5k. While their 4-channel EEG is around 10k. That's pretty damn expensive when you consider that a lot of other decent 4-channel EEG systems (1024-2048 Hz sample rate, 0.1-150 Hz bandwidth, etc) are around 2 to 4k.

...we're talking about very limited amounts of electrical current, but I do believe one can develop it over time. I didn't become aware of 'it' until the onset of adolescence.

this video does not really tell you anything, just a typical advert, not good

Of course you're right, it's no joke. I know because I have Cardiac Dysrhythmia and I can fully reset my heartbeat during an attack. Once you know the self induced way, any of these little machines become trivial...

Psychedelics? Do some research on it at least. You're in the US, meaning you can either gain access to a Native American sweat lodge ceremony with Peyote, or go over to Mexico, and try some Curanderos that use mushrooms.

Most psychedelics have an anti-depressant effect. Google around a bit, I would say for me it was definitely worth it :)

I'm so sick of feeling like this... years of depression/ ADD and getting worse! 2 kids and being a stay at home mom is killing me! ...and my poor sweet husband... I've been on meds for about 15 years with no end in sight. I feel that they have no effect on me now and (I might be paranoid but) I think my doctor is giving up on me. I'll try anything! Am I just looking for an easy answer?
help... anyone out there???
