Monza has undergone some serious work over the past few months which has been known for a while now. What was just released could change the face of the Monza GP for Formula One.

It looks as though we will see some serious ramifications from the changes that have been made. I initially thought it would be at the first chicane but it looks like Ascari will have the most effect on how F1 cars race around this track!

Problem with chicane 1 is that on exit the car on the car will have a harder time getting a good exit and catching the slipstream and attack into the second chicane. Things may be different if the exit is cambered. Is it?

Ah it’s a shame they’ve neutered the kerbs. These old school tracks have such character, it strange they’d want to get rid of that
