Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and current Ambassador to the United Kingdom Valeriy Zaluzhnyi showed on social media how the 3rd cohort of pilots of the Ukrainian Air Force had completed their training in the UK. Oleh Katkov, a military expert and editor-in-chief of Defense Express, commented on the news on Channel 24. He spoke about French aircraft for Ukraine.

The report's title is a little awkward, but I'm grateful for the detailed explanation of the lengthy training time for pilots. The UK MOD did a moving documentary on this, along with the infantry training the Scots are doing for the AFU. But here we have the whole cycle, from cradle to grave. It's LONG, and it's complicated by a language barrier that must be overcome before anything else. I also like that Oleg pointed out that experienced fighter pilots are trained as a separate cohort from raw recruits. Russian and NATO instrumentation is significantly different, even at the analog level. For example, the horizon lines are displayed exactly opposite in Western and russian planes, and an instinctive response can lead to pilot error. Experienced pilots have to unlearn years of habit. I was surprised to learn about the size of the training cohort. Equipment is easy. Well, "easy." Trained, certified operators are the bottleneck.

The segment about Ukrainian production of Bogdans is a jaw dropper. 18 units produced and fielded in two MONTHS! One of the things that came out during the YES conference is that Ukraine has unused manufacturing capacity, DESPITE the war. DESPITE energy grid disruptions. I'm confident that further licensing agreements will be negotiated quite soon, and that Ukraine will be a military industrial giant after the war, as it was before the war.

You have no idea how different a F16 flies, from other jet aircrafts. You should be educated on it, to understand this better. But having experience on MiG fighters, means nothing at all. The F16 even cost the nations having them pilots, in training, because they are completely different, need different handling. Every F16 pilot can tell you why. Ask them...before you start talking like an expert, since this former chief seems to completely lost it. Ukraine should receive this or that, this man is without moral nor respect and I am glad it is a former chief.

Next time my nation send you something completely for free, I will flash them with this video. And have you pay for anything leaving our army going to Ukraine, for free. The NL handed you completely fine materials, helped your pilots get trained, even all these costs is included for our bill, not yours. So feel free to order anything you like.
