I Tried Hot Tent Camping

Join me for my first hot tent camping experience! 🥵

I bought a cheap hot tent setup, including a Naturehike Massif SOLO hot tent and a Wintour UL 2.0 hot tent stove, and took it out to the woods for an overnight test.

I bought the dune 7.6 tent (bigger than this one but similar design). Great tent I thought.

Used the inner for the first time (previously I’d used the outer only as a shelter with a tent wood stove).

The seem with the ceiling and front wall panel on the inner split.
Toggle attachment is too short and over stresses the seem.

Naturehike have a 2 year warranty apparently.

Not so. Rejected it out of hand as I’d not bought through Amazon. (Apparently only buying through Amazon will give warranty protection. Not even their website, according to the emails I’ve had).

So will I purchase any Naturehike product again?
Never unless I consider it to be a disposable single use item.

The entire line of Naturehike Massif and Dune tents are awesome hot tents for the money and have already built quite a following in the few months they have been on the market! They have pretty much became the new go to free standing tent for hot tent camping. So you definitely made a good choice! You do need to get a spark arrestor for the top of your stove pipe though, or you will end up with a bunch of melted pin holes in the top of your tent! They are a must when using synthetic hot tents!
