Terrific video. Mine arrives in a couple days and with this and the one you did on CHIRP for the radio, you've given me all I need to know. Thumbs up + subbed. BTW, is it just me ? I have a Yaesu FT3DR, Icom ID-52, Wouxun UV9D, all beautiful looking radios, but there's just something about this radio that I find very attractive. Same with my Ailunce HD-1 (by Retevis)...

Thank you! I bought this radio and uploaded my frequency list, but the radio did not work on other frequencies. Now I can hear everything! It's strange that the manufacturer blocks the radio like this. It appears to be broken.

Im new to all this and looking to get this model because its waterproof, but have a couple questions with the locking and unlocking:

1/ In locked mode, is it only transmit that is locked, but you can still listen on any frequency?
2/ If unlocked and you save a frequency outside the locked range, if you lock it again can you still access that saved frequency thats outside?

G'day mate, when you unlock it, can you transmit on 477-479MHz UHF with the US model when unlocked?
