"The leaves are falling. As from far,
as if gardens in the Heaven wither.
They fall with self-denying ease..."

No book could tell all that is written on Chet's face. The only true history, as Rilke puts it, one written in the heart. Their voices are as if at arms length, singing it out, not for money, fame, or parade. Just falling down with autumn leaves.

i like this song, maybe cos I'm nuts abt Ruth Young !!

I saw her a couple of days ago in part eight of the multiparter Chet Baker bio elsewhere on youtube and was enthralled at how enchanting a woman could be.

the acoustic for piano is excellent to my ears, thanks too for providing the line-up.
