I don't know what else Geno could do to get respect. He's 1st in the NFL in yardage, completions, 2nd in Comp % and he's doing that with a horrible offensive line. He's releasing the ball in 2.6 seconds on average. Last year he lost both of his tackles in WEEK ONE! And finished above .500 and if Jason Myers doesn't blow a very average field goal, he takes the team to the playoffs. How many qb's out there are making the playoffs without both tackles? How many qb's overcome bottom 3 offensive lines? There is always this connotation like the Seahawks are gonna be better once they find a franchise qb and he's their best damn player....

On the Geno adjectives, you left out "smart." He has excellent progression reads, sees where the pressure's coming from and is all the other things you said. He's definitely Super Bowl caliber, what he's lack is protection for pretty much all of his career. I'm really excited to see what he can do with decent protection and the innovative offensive schemes that Grubb brings. On the "four games" to judge Geno, you haven't been paying attention to the last couple of years. Yeah, he had a drop off late last year, but give him protection and let's see what he can do. Geno has beaten plenty of good teams since taking over the Seahawk quarterbacking duties.

Before you crown Detroit. Their defense gave up over 500 yds and 38 1st downs. You're not going to win many super bowls giving up those kind of numbers.

Seattle has a good team. It is definitely a playoff caliber team. But they'll need to stay healthy and get some players back who are not healthy at the moment if they want to get far. I'm hoping the injury bug hit early and then goes away as the season progresses.
