Been to both. Madrid is nice with its modern white buildings and green spaces, Barcelona has a more ancient dated feel perhaps, but it's way more iconic with its many architectural masterpieces, there is also a special positive vibe in the air, some of my favourite memories are from living there, and everyone I know from Europe is always wishing to return. Just my experience.

Two very different cities, but both worth a visit.

I’m spilt between both cities it’s my first time going with a friend. We both single and looking to meet women who don’t charge. What would be the best cities for us? It’s either spend 4 days in Madrid and one day in Barcelona or just do all days in Madrid . Someone please help.

Thanks brodie, was good to get your perspective on the differences. I'm choosing Madrid since I know Barcelona has more of a gay scene but I rather experience more of the Spaniard traditional architecture, people, and vibe. Think Barcelona gets too many tourists. I'm saving my taste buds for The Basque Country of Bilbao/San Sebastián/ St-Jean-deLuz. Thanks again

Ambas Preciosas pero si quieres sentir un sentimiento muy español, comer callos, o conocer más cultura española madrid es la opción, barcelona aunque pertenece a españa cuando fui es diferente hablan otra lengua y yo desde mi experiencia noté que era diferente. Barcelona en ese sentido veías por las calles otra bandera que yo supongo que es la de cataluña no lo sé, además si te gusta la playa barcelona es l opción saludos amigos españoles disfrute su país muy diverso

You would choosecBarcelona ypu say by just "a little bit"??!! Well I work with tourists fir more than 25 years and that is not what they all overwelmingly tell me by choosing Barcelona by far. There are plenty of cities in Spain, the Basque country, Caralonia or Galicia and Portugal that are way more beautiful and with much more hustory and architecture than Madrid! Here some examples: Porto, Sevilla, Granada, Lisboa, Santiago de Compostela, València, San Sebastian, Palma, Girona, Salamanca, Toledo, Cáceres..
But well, I unferstand you are a Youtuber and want to be moderate about your thoughts in public

Madrid isn't Spanish exactly (bcz currently this term is sum of regions of Spain) but Castillian culture.
Bcz there is Andalusian, Galician, Asturian culture that varies regionally just like languages but yes Catalan has mix of Iberian + French culture.
