But... we have nuked ourselves... like... a lot. Yeah i get that this one was accidental and the other ones were tests, but by official records, 1, 054 were conducted between 1945 and 1992. There was a movie just last year that highlighted one of the detonations in New Mexico in 1945. This was actually the first ever nuclear explosion and was significantly larger than was expected, so one might argue that the US accidentally nuked itself in 1945, long before this accidental near-miss.
