I found your channel a little over a month ago. I am brand new to the Bible. I was not raised with religion and have not felt the urge to dig in and learn until this year. I am 35. I am way behind but trying to stay steady in the study of Matthew. Thank you for all you are doing to support me. I just read the commentary from the CS Lewis Bible from Mere Christianity regarding 7:16-7:20.- For what we are trying to do is to remain what we call "ourselves, " ... We are all trying to let our mind and heart go their own way - centered on money or pleasure or ambition and hoping, in spite of this, to behave honestly and chastely and humbly. This really spoke to me.
