How To Change 'Now Playing' on Discord - Set Custom Game / Playing Text in Discord

How to set custom Now Playing Game text in Discord? In this tutorial, I show you how to change the Now Playing message on Discord. This means you can change it to any custom message you want including any game, application, or anything else. Changing the Now Playing text on Discord is easy but must be done on a computer in the Discord app. It cannot be customized on a phone or in the browser. Follow the steps below to get custom Now Playing text on Discord:
1. Open discord and ensure you are logged in.
2. Select the gear in the bottom left near your username to open the user settings.
3. In the Discord user settings under App Settings, select Game Activity.
4. Once in Game Activity, ensure 'Display currently running game as a status message' is turned on.
5. To enter a custom Now Playing message select 'Add it!' near the top of Game Activity.
6. Select an application on your PC that is always running in the background and then select Add Game.
7. To add custom text select the name of the application and delete the text.
8. You can now add any Now Playing message you want.
9. Once you have changed the now playing text, close the settings.
