How you're raised doesn't give you an excuse to perpetuate a cycle of ignorance and hate. These poor women. It just makes me think of my mom's coworker Pang who I grew up knowing. She'd make me food, burn me copies of Asian music and films she thought I'd enjoy. Paid for custom art of a geisha for my 13th birthday and trusted me with her son. I miss Pang and wherever she is I hope she's well and safe. She never called me weird when I was a white child to a single mom who by some mysterious force was always in love with old kung fu Films and Chinese dramas... Hindi music
Etc. If not for Pang I wouldn't be who I am today. This is unacceptable and my heart is with all of their families.
