A tax hike is coming for Philadelphia homeowners, but help is available

Philadelphia homeowners can expect to see increased property tax bills following the city's first property assessment in two years. Mayor Cherelle Parker on Monday explained some of the relief programs that are available.

Relief, relief, relief! Why, partially because of the property tax abatement started under Rendell's administration nearly or over 20 years ago.

The abatement was to spurn real estate/business development in the City.
My understanding was that it was only supposed to be temporary.
