they were both splendid, in the end it was more a mental game than anything else. you would not have wanted any other players in the finals than those 2!!

I cracked up when I see the fans wearing Barcelona shirts at 0:36, because Nadal is a Real Madrid fan...

Whether or not Roger is the GOAT, number's wise at least, he has the most beautiful game tennis has ever seen. His shot making and the completeness of his game is just unreal. I think like he said before the game, it's just a mental thing for him against the likes of Novak and Rafa. Novak and Rafa have amazing physical and mental attributes but their racket skills are just not not as good as Roger or Pete. Only Pete Sampras apart from Roger comes closest to making tennis this beautiful!!!!

That was an amazing Roger win but I do feel for Rafa. This was the second AO Final that Rafa was super close to winning, but made an unforced error on an easy let which cost him the match, very similar scenario to the 2012 AO Final he played against Djokovic where he willed himself into the fifth set and saw Djokovic very tired at 4/2 where he could have easily passed him to make it to 5/2 in the score but ended hitting the ball out, and allowed Novak to break and then level to 4/4 instead. That got Novak back into the match where Djokovic ended up winning the longest Grand Slam Final ever at 7/5 in the fifth. This match was also a missed opportunity for him to accomplish the coveted double career slam, although he achieved this feat in 2019 beating Medvedev in a thriller. This match (2017 AO Final) was also a very important match to both Federer and Nadal, and especially significant to Federer as he beat Nadal in a Grand Slam for the first time since the 2007 Wimbledon final. This match also added to his Grand Slam record at that time of 18, which was 4 ahead of Nadal and Sampras, who were tied at second at that time at 14 slams apiece. This win also enabled Federer to become the first man ever, and the only man up to date, to win three grand slams at least five times each. It also helped Federer climb back to No 1 in the world one more time, a year later, where he became the oldest World No 1. Quite remarkable, thinking back. This was probably the most important win in Federer's career.

Federer got an extra serve at 5-3 ad-in in the 5th set. Everyone forgot his 1st-service was wide-left. Watch for yourselves and count the serves!! They replay the 2nd serve 3x. But the 2nd 2nd service was out! Everyone forgot the 1st-service was too!

I wonder where are that nice Serbian fans right now, they are hiding in their ratholes because tennis is shining once again. They are covered by darkness, closed to hades. Simply incredible! Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal saved tennis from ApocalipsamanOnline. 18>14=14>12=12. Tennis is reborn once again! How to remove Novak Djokovic from winning? Make court surface faster. Novak prefered to win in Doha than trying his best at the Australian Open, what a disgrace! Keep that in mind.

You think this is a crazy shot? lol Well the best winner and craziest shot in my opinion is in 2008 Wimbledon Final Nadal vs Federer when Rafael Nadal hit an unbelievably ridiculous winner hot that was unreturnable and I don't even know how it went in, to view this just go on YouTube and type in 2008 Wimbledon Final highlights and the video is about 28 minutes long, it'll say like 27.57 minutes and when you play it fast forward it to 17:40 and there it will be the most ridiculous shot I have ever seen lol from Rafa
