In April 2024, I boarded Jan Shatabdi express from Ghy to Jorhat (in Assam). in my seat, there were capacities for 3 people only. In my seat, two of them were filled, then suddenly a family of 5, boarded the coach and just sat in my seat, even though they were already filled. They were so reckless and had no civic discipline. When the TC came and asked for the tickets, they abruptly shut him down quoting "it's our right to travel however we want, we dont have ticket, what will you do??" Such is the mindset of the people.

The worst thing is jo log ticket karke train mein jaate hai they feel betrayed as kahin se bhi koi bhi bina ticket chad jata hai...😐

This is such a spot on video. I had recently heard about this thing that Railways is only investing in new infra instead of maintaining it. There was an episode by John Oliver about the similar problem with road network in the US. Politicians are always more interesting in building new instead of repairing/maintaining old. Because building new gives them a chance to "ribbon cutting". It's a universal problem but the size of our population and their dependency on legacy transport doesn't give us the luxury to ignore the repair and maintenance of the old infrastructure. And safety should be a non-negotiable.

The total number of passenger trains daily operation by country:-
India :- 13500
US :- 2200
China :- 9638
Still Indian trains are over crowded because our country is over crowded, also these gareeb people are eating tobacco worth thousands in a month but don't want to buy tickets, it's bitter but true that these people are a burden on India as they don't contribute a single penny in the economy but want everything for free . We have to Control India's population or we can see what would be its outcomes if we don't take it seriously. Also the admin saying ' general or sleeper coaches badao or vo profitable nhi isi lie vande Bharat or ac trains ka fair badhado ' shi h tax payer to bichaare charity hi krte arhe h, yha bhi gareebo k lie jyada fair dedenge, kyu ? Kyuki unke pass paisa h

12-14 hours duty. Kabhi kabhi 17 hours.
Emergency leave bahut muskil se milti hai. Koi festival pe bhi leave nahi milta. Ghar se duty, duty se ghar yahi life rah gyee hai ab 😢.
Itna sara train accident staaf kee kami ke Karan hota hai. Pahle itna rail accident nahi hota tha. Ab bahut hota hai. Sarkar vacancy bhi nahi de rahi jiske Karan over load work karna padta hai. Zindagi jhand ho gyee.

The main reason is that no old tracks are renewed, and instead of increasing tracks they are increasing trains.

1. They spent all maintenance money of railways in election.

2. They are ignorant in making expenses in maintenance of railways so that they can privatise railways.

In year 2023, I travelled with my family from Lucknow to Agra in second AC. 3 young boys were already seated on our seats and requesting me to let them stay seated as their station is next (which was actually 2 hours away). I called the TC and got them kicked out. They were new hires in railway. I am never travelling again with Indian trains until I feel safe.

One thing that I appreciate is Rail madad . Literally itni jaldi action liya mujhe lga private train me toh nhi hu😂. Aur wo log feedback mang rahe thhe, maine diya kam hone ke baad.

Just got saved from death, i was in the pune hwh duronto, and when we were 200kms from tatanagar, the crash happened, our train was extended by a few more hours, when we reached howrah, a tragic sign was displayed for the 2 trains saying "CRASHED" highlighted in red..

I am a frequent traveller sleeper and ac people mostly r local traveller of state others r without ticket or very poor collector only interested in those who dob't have ticket and want to earn extra their priority not do anything to local state traveller without ticket of that train government can be a businessmen duty is to the businessmen do that need to privatise that make the train mote cleaner, non ticket personnel not allowed to enter or do gunda gardi on reservation berth, security level -population increase 2 crore every year need 4 active lane to co up with our animal like population increase year another 2 crore population increase not only government duty but the indians duty as well stop breeding like pigs no complain to government for your deeds because of pig breeders houses where forest used to be water level going down and other inflation rates and broker is the biggest reason behind

Just one clarification - majority of railways budget goes in salary and pensions, remaining budget has to be shared between maintenance, capex, adding more trains, station maintenance and upgradation, etc.
This government made a big mistake in reducing general coaches, UP and Bihar is still very poor and labour exporter to rest of India so those trains become crowded!!

Sleeper is now crowded like general and 3rd AC coach has now become new sleeper coach... From my north India experience especially in trains which are going to Bihar or Bengal

Some solutions which Indian railways must implement ---
1) Increase and seprate the non-ac coaches and AC coaches.... I.e. Runs these trains separately like Amrit Bharat
You will notice in almost every long journey trains that the numbers of sleeper and general class coaches are being drastically decreased to maximum 2 general coaches and 4-5 sleeper coaches Which is the major reason for this type of situations....

2) Established factories, industries, SEZs, etc in Bihar and some parts of UP also to reduce migration from Bihar, UP
I'm totally sure 2nd thing will rarely will gonna happen in Bihar 😢🥲 and 1st options are implementing but at the very low pace.... 😢😢
