About Me:

My name is David Hoffmann. For the last 13 years, I have traveled the world in search of unique destinations and cuisines. Since starting David’s Been Here in 2008, I have explored over 1,300 destinations in 94 countries, while documenting them on my YouTube channels, travel blog, and social media sites.

I focus mostly on cuisine, culture, and historical sites, but my passion is food! I love to experience and showcase the different flavors each destination has to offer, from casual street food to gourmet restaurant dining.
Where have you been?

P.S. Thank you for watching my videos and subscribing!

Man, I climbed those steps back in 2004 as a US soldier. Back then there were black hawk helicopters hovering everywhere and the sound of military vehicles and aircraft. I would love to return and walk the UR steps as a civilian tourist this time.

Oh my. How many steps did you have to climb to get to the top? It's so neat and well built 🇹🇹🇨🇦

IN CASE YOU'RE WONDERING...
... the steps are SHORT because the rulers respected THE YOUNG and the ELDERLY, and wanted to ensure EVERYONE could reach to top and admire the view :-)...

Wasn’t sumar around before 4000 bc? Prity sure it was 5000 or before? I know it lasted so long because if someone was looking back from the end of Sumar to the beginning, it would be further than us to the great pyramids being built

everything you can see in this video is a reconstruction. I really dont understand why he didnt film the top where the actual historical ziggurat remains are
