This is What True Confidence Is

YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT ONLY WHEN YOU FEEL CONFIDENT. Because you have feelings of insecurity does not mean you are insecure! I did not "feel" confident every single Sunday I got up to preach for years. I felt more feelings of insecurity and that I wasn't good enough more than I felt confident. But God showed me what true confidence really is. And when you keep taking captive to Christ the devil's lies and doing what God told you to do despite your feelings: even the confident feelings will eventually come because the devil is forced to flee! Resist his lies and he's gotta leave!

I love when you said, "those thoughts of, you're not good enough, are the devil's lies".

Another way to look at it is, because Jesus has destroyed the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), the devil is overwhelmed with thoughts of fear and defeat and he tries to get us to identify with him.

But we don't identify with the devil, but rather with Jesus Who is our Victor and Who leads us to victory (1 Cor 15:56-58).
Jesus has overcome the World 🌎. And as we look upon Him, we become like Him for as He is so are we in this World 🌎 (1 John 4:17).
