LG was ahead of its Competition at irs Time with Flush Camera Design to its Body.
Providing one of the Best IP Rated Phones
A 3.5mm Jack with DAC for Audiophiles and a SD Card Slot again for on the go Music Audiophiles and Gamers.

Things where they lacked is weak Software optimisation due to their hardware innovations and Weak uncomparable camera to the mainstream flagships with flagship price tag
Their situation was like the RoG Phones of Now even RoG removed DAC from their latest phone 7
Hope RoG will bring the DAC Back with SD Card Slot too.

I had an LG V20, which had a secondary display at the top right corner of the phone. When the screen was locked, it showed time and network. When the screen was on, if you got calls or notifications, rather than popping up on your original screen, it used to be shown on that tiny horizontal screen. It was such a luxury to have that tiny 2nd display. They ditched it on the next generations.

Lg putting dac for audiophile shows how much they care about hardware

More than anything, LG lost the game for one only one reason!!

1. Consistency : Their flagship series G and V were vey confusing and they did not stick to a design policy which at that time Samsung and Iphone already getting into (Instead of changing design they changed other parts of then phone mainly Software and camera).

They did really good innovation in hardware space and forgot about real-life usability and simplicity.

For me software from HTC + Hardware from LG = best android experience ever.

I was a HUGE LG fan. Had the G5, G6, G7, V20, V30+ (my fav LG so far), V40.
LG phones were the ONLY ones to have skeumorphic ultra wide lens that provided GoPro-esque footage when mounted on my motorcycle in timelapse mode.
The build quality was AWESOME and the sound quality on the wired headset was out of the world due to the dedicated Audio Chip.
I had the SoundMagic E80C with ~55Ω resistance that triggered the DAC inside the V30+
Good times ❤❤

Lg was always the OG. My g7 had qhd display, hifi quad dac sound, dolby vision, wireless charging, and ip 68 albeit bad battery all these for 40 thousand rupees . Current flagships don't even offer all these features. And some charge 60k+ for these features. The decline of LG and Sony was a bad loss for audiophile audience.

Not so aggressive marketing and nose dive in prices 6 months after launch could be added reasons

I was using LG from long back. Started the journey from LG keypad phone (with Reliance) then LG cookie pep, then to LG G6 and to their last official phone LG wing. All smartphons are still alive and Wing is my primary driver❤

LG died due to the consistent Boot Lop issues they started facing with G4, G5 series.

It was such a common issue in India at that time which made the phone unusable until service centre visit. This was the primary reason that killed LG in India

I used LG L bello from offline market in India which is 3G mobile. Android Lollipop something. It has lock button back side which is easy to use.
I sat in sea shore and suddenly a wave come to me and phone fell in the sea water. 😢
Then upgraded to Nokia 3 and after battery degradation of 4 years. Now using POCO x4 pro 5g.

My daily driver is my LG G8x, bought 3 years ago and still going strong...beats the new flip and fold phones, the hinges of the dual case hold at any angle, and the camera is GREAT! UI is good too, no probs. Build quality so good that it's going strong even now, and comparing it with what's in the market at present, I see absolutely no reason to switch to anything else. LG put quality first.

a-mazing.

I have lg g8x. I must say it has the best camera phone at that price. Only problem is lack of customisation. And laggy u i. But as far as specs r concerned it has lot to offer. It even has dex mode for pc. Just like Samsung. Hope lg returns to india with wonderful innovation at better price.
