Though simple in design and feature set, the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless delivers on all fronts for a great wireless gaming headset.

im so glad someone else is finally competing with EPOS for battery life, i use the EPOS GSP 370 which has about 100 hours of battery life and while its sound and battery life is amazing it has some downsides to it like build quality (its mostly plastic) and its just tremendously huge and has like a big unremoveable microphone, while i think its amazing ive been waiting so long for a competitor to replace them with that has comparable or better battery life, i find it really suprising that more companies arent putting a bigger battery into their headphones, especially the super premium priced ones, like you can drop like 300$(aud)+ on a super nice headphone with all these bells and whistles, but the battery dies in like 2 days

I got it, and i completely recommend it. I charge it literally each month. Plus the mic is phenomenal. Its my Favorite headset of all times !

all I've ever wanted in a headset is a battery life that doesn't suck. I'm sold

I've had a original Kingston HyperX headset for over 12 year now, iirc, and it's time for an upgrade, as this one's fabric is just now starting to come undone among other issues.
I had a tough time finding a headset I like, and HyperX has some good headsets from what I've found. They are not as bulky as say, Razer... but in the end, it was between the Mando version of the Logitech A30 or this one, and I ended up going with this one because the mic sounded way better and it would save me $50! Thank you for the informative video! You're awesome!

200$ is a lot sure. But 10/10 comfort, amazing sound quality, decent mic and to top it all... 300 hrs battery life. I mean, that's something.

I got hyperx cloud alpha Wireless and used it for 2 days and have sparkling sound/crackling noise every 10 minutes for 1 second and can be enoying its probably becuze of software driver problems but I return it to store and 2 days later price drop from 2000 Swedish SEK to 1400SEK so I oder new one and will wait for software fix becuze of good deal of good headsets. It was almost good as my old hyperx cloud mix thqt have hifi with cable and was surprised that new ones could compare with cable headsets.

Great review, I purchased mine around 2 months ago for my PC, I would have loved it to have Bluetooth to pair with my mobile phone which is a slight letdown for what you pay for the price. The battery life seems to go on forever, I haven't measured the time as stated, however, all I can say it is superb.

How is the range? My current HyperX II cuts out every time I walk to the kitchen, which isn't very far

Man I really wish HyperX or other companies would pony up the money and make Xbox versions of these wireless headsets. I have the CloudX Flight and love it but have always wanted one of their metal framed models to work wirelessly. They now have the Alpha, Cloud 2 and Cloud Core in wireless versions but the Xbox gets no love.

Man I really wish it had Bluetooth, and for that price I'm scared of going for an other brand and risk getting a headset that is not as comfortable as this one or my current cloud II.
Some recommendations would be appreciated.

when I first read 300 hour battery life, I for sure thought that it was 30 mistyped but after looking into it I'm blown away. Remains to see how long it really is but I think I got a bargain getting a refurbished pair for 130€.

Any chance of comparing this mic against Antlions Wireless modmic? It's weird that there's no other wireless mic available today that can compete with the almost 4 year old wireless modmic.

Does the sound change with the app? I found the initial out of box sound kind of muddy, like 300-500 hz is a bit strong, or maybe not enough highs, the low bass is good, but it's sounding muddy. Haven't downloaded the app yet so not sure if there is any change when you do.

So I heard that this was had more bass than the HyperX Cloud 2. I currently am using the Corsair Void Pro for my wireless headset and I have the wired HyperX Cloud 2 for when it's charging and it's just a wired solution that just works when I need a headset and I don't have to worry about battery life. With hearing it has more bass than the HyperX Cloud 2, does that mean it comes closer in audio to the Corsair Void Pro or the HyperX Cloud 2 looking to replace both headsets and right now it's between the HyperX Cloud 3 and the HyperX Cloud Alpha. If it helps at all, it will only be worn around in a small apartment.

You didn't touch on the surround sound quality at all in this review.

Does it work well with the PS5? Can you mute the headset via the DualSense (controller)? Thanks. Btw: Great review 😀👍
