i'm happy to see you review this. i just saw Wayne Goss try is but he has oily skin. i don't really know what mine is. it's normal if i leave it alone, haha. it can run on the dry side but i can't tolerate much moisturizer - it sits on the surface and becomes an oil slick. i'd say i'm a fussy normal/combination maybe, with a tendency toward dry and/or oily when my skin's unhappy.

i'm 45 so i definitely have not just the fine lines and signs of losing elasticity, but also hyperpigmentation and decades' worth of texture from breakouts. i was surprised to notice the other day that cream formulations, which are normally recommended for my skin type, look horrible on me. the soft sheen they leave actually amplifies my texture. i don't enjoy wearing liquid foundation. when i was young (teens and 20s) my go-to base was concealer and pressed powder. i don't wear much on my face at all, so i'm considering investing in this powder foundation based on the qualities you and others have listed. It just seems to have such a lovely finish. I apparently can't get away with any kind of sparkle or shine on my face - i'm not interested in highlighter or luminous blush, for example. my skin, without anything on it, is actually quite matte. there isn't any shine to it. so i'm thinking maybe there's something to that - working with what's there.

i was surprised to see you say that you got R2 - you're right, on the website it does look quite a bit darker than i perceive you to be in your videos. so i'm glad you mentioned that it's lighter in person. i haven't tried the concealer yet, though i want to, so i have no idea what my shade match would be. but it's helpful to know that the foundation and concealer shades match; you're not the only person who's said this. it definitely makes it easier to match one if you already have the other in a shade that works.

I love this foundation! On my textured skin it’s really blurring. I was on accutane also 20 years ago. It definitely dried out my skin and my hair! I find my regular skin prep~Glow Recipe Dewdrops and moisturizer is all I need! Great review! I appreciate you! 🩷

You look gorgeous! And, the foundation is lovely-a keeper. I had the exact same situation as you! I picked the wrong shade and found the foundation looks great everywhere except under the eyes! I was shocked at how bad my undereyes looked when I wore this. I bought the correct shade (same as yours), and I will adjust it for my under-eyes by not putting the foundation directly under the eyes. Great review! Thanks!

I’m a new subscriber, and I love your content. Can you do some cool tone eye shadow colours? I love greys and am trying silvers even. I’m 64 and very pale and have white blonde hair. I need and use cool toned blush, lipsticks, and eye shadows and I’d love to see some reviews on liquid eye shadows or cream. Your eyes here look great! Both my now grown kids have red hair. Everyone said it would change but it didn’t. That was a surprise as my husband is brunette. It was a wonderful surprise!
