Fluid Art! / Acrylic Pour Painting Swipe Technique!

This acrylic pour painting technique has an amazing reaction creating those awesome cells! Adding a few drops of silicone oil combined with the swipe motion causes the acrylic water based paint to react! All my mixtures are the same at roughly 1/3-1/4 paint to floetrol ratio. I use liquitex basic acrylic paint. I use floetrol as my pouring medium. Most all my colors are custom mixed. I use Artist Loft silicone oil but any 100% silicone oil will work. Only add 2-3 drops per cup. #satisfying #art #painting

Beautiful...I did a couple of swipes recently using the shelf liner and they turned out much better than previous swipes. Now, I just have to get my paint consistencies right.

Hi this is a beautiful piece, I love creating cell's in my pieces. Do you think voil would give you the same result, or with it being a very flimsy material that it wouldn't work? I'd be really grateful if anyone could give me some advice on this. Thank you 😊
