It consists of 「On a small boat, En bateau」, 「Procession, Cortège」, 「Minuet, Menuet」, and 「Ballet」, all of which are light and full of noble feelings.
A small suite for two pianos, consisting of four pieces, was composed around 1888.

「On a small boat, En bateau」 A boat carrying a young lover moves quietly in the breeze.

「Procession, Cortège」 A procession that moves quietly. A refreshing step through the flowers while stepping on the fallen leaves.

「Minuet, Menuet」 People dance with light, thin silk clothes fluttering in the wind according to the pleasant seaweed.

인상주의의 작풍 확립 전의 작품으로, 원곡은 피아노 네 손 연탄용에 의했다.
뷔세르(Paul Henri Busser, 1872~1973)의 관현악 편곡이 매우 성공한 바 있기 때문에 오늘날에는 거의 관현악곡이나 바이올린곡으로 연주된다.
「작은 배에서, En bateau」, 「행렬, Cortège」, 「미뉴에트, Menuet」, 「발레, Ballet」로 이루어지고, 어느 것이나 경쾌하고 고상한 정감이 넘친다.
두 개의 피아노를 위한 작은 모음곡은 네 개의 소품곡으로 이루어졌고, 1888년 경에 작곡되었다.
