Karen Seiko Arimoto-Peterson | Japanese-Americans of California

Karen Seiko Arimoto-Peterson will narrate a photo presentation of her family’s story, from 1910 to the present. She will highlight the challenges and accomplishments of her Japanese-American family during this time period. Her story is also about the dark time in our history when West Coast Japanese-American families were incarcerated during WWII. Karen is a retired teacher from Woodside Elementary after 40 years and is a volunteer at Woodside High School, Woodside Recreation Committee and San Mateo County History Museum.
