I am old enough that I remember when song search was an active part of the "Ok Google" commands. And it was about 80% accurate. It has been around so long, that i used that feature in Brazil back in 2023. The only thing "new" about this is that Google included it in their circle to search feature. Which also isn't "new" because I've been able to image search with 4 extra clicks before this gimmick rolled out.

Don't get me wrong, streamlining a process and making things more accessible to non-nerds is always good. But let's not call something old "new".

I just wish it could "listen" to a song while connected to a bluetooth headset like shazam can.

I found it in my panel buttons and didn't even know it was there 😅 I don't even know when I got this feature but it must have been from my last update this October on the 2nd. 🤔

I did what you did at 1:56 and it pretty much got the song at the same time as you did besides the page loading

Got this on my S21 without any beta update, there was just a new google system update which allows this

I'm sorry. Have you ever touched a Samsung or any Android phone? In the last five years or more. Pretty sure every android phone that I can remember since my s3 has had the ability to find music by listening. All you have to do is hit the microphone button on the Google search bar.
And it says at the bottom, listen for music or something like that press that and identifies the song, it gives you a link to your youtube or youtube music

Sweet! Now, I can find songs that come to my mind and I forget who sings it etc...

It's in the regular google update as well. For me the widget is still the easiest for me.

Song search is not new. I use Google assistant. I have a old 2020 LG v60 . I've been doing that for years. .just long press on the home button and say "what's this song" So are you referring to singing into the phone as being a new feature???
